MMK.H Maskal Energy Ltd

Maskal Energy Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:MMK.H) ("Maskal" or the "Corporation") announces
that it has been served with a Statement of Claim brought by Rick Mazurkewich,
John Garden, Bullion Fund Inc. and 1053011 Alberta Ltd. (the "Plaintiffs") for
alleged indebtedness and other relief.


The Corporation also wishes to announce the tendered resignations of Rick
Mazurkewich as President and Chief Executive Officer and Robert Tedrick as Chief
Financial Officer of the Corporation. Maskal will commence a search for
replacements of each of these positions as soon as possible.
