Traverse Energy Ltd. ("Traverse" or "the Company") (TSX VENTURE:TVL) announces
that it has granted stock options to its directors and officers to purchase
650,000 common shares with an exercise price of $0.80 per share and an expiry
date 5 years from the date of grant. The options granted vest immediately upon
grant. The total number of options outstanding as of the date hereof is
3,575,000. 


Traverse is a junior oil and natural gas exploration and production company with
a substantial land base in Alberta. The common shares of Traverse are listed on
the TSX Venture Exchange under the trading symbol "TVL".
