FRANKFURT--Allianz SE (ALV.XE), Europe's biggest insurer and a large institutional investor, said Friday that it expects no negative impact from the U.K. decision to leave the EU.

"Due to our long-term investment approach, there is no negative implication for Allianz's investments to be expected," said an Allianz spokeswoman. "Our portfolios are not materially affected by short-term market volatility," she said.

Allianz remains committed to the U.K. and hopes that the U.K. and the EU can come to an agreement on a broad and mutual partnership within a reasonable time frame.
