Belfast this week that at his initiative and assistance, 1,120
Biosphere systems have been ordered and completely funded for
delivery to various countries in Africa, including Ghana, Nigeria,
Sudan, S. Africa, Cameroon, Libya, and Algeria within the next 60
months. Global's Biosphere turns municipal solid waste into
electricity, generating operating revenues both from tipping fees
and from electricity sales. The Biosphere has been tested to meet
planning requirements worldwide. In December 2007 Global contracted
with the Yankuang Group Company Limited to manufacture its
Biosphere Power Stations in China both for the Chinese market and
