Fruitful Partnership with Fluent Edgeworks,
More than 100 New Sub-Agents, and Strong Sales Give NTT Com a
Reason to Celebrate
New Spiff Launched for Security Services
Deals
Today at the Channel Partners Evolution Conference and Expo,
August 14-17, in Washington, D.C., NTT Communications
Corporation (NTT Com), the information and communications
technology (ICT) solutions business within the NTT
Group (NYSE: NTT), announced the two-year success of its
Global Solutions Channel Partner Program, including the results of
its productive collaboration with one key channel partner, Fluent
Edgeworks, as well as the results of the company’s strategic pivot
in focus to the sub-agent community. Among those attending are NTT
Com and NTT Security executives, on hand at NTT Com booth number
E77, to discuss a new incentive program for sales of NTT Com
security solutions to eligible master and sub-agents. In addition,
NTT Com is a gold-level sponsor of the Keys to Evolution event
hosted today by WTG, an NTT Com Global Solutions Channel
Partner.
NTT Com launched its Global Solutions Channel Partner Program,
an indirect sales program tailored to the U.S. market, at Cloud
Partners, in September 2014. Backed by distinctive global
capabilities and a robust portfolio of services, the Global
Solutions Channel Partner Program offers uniquely attractive terms,
significant prospects for international expansion, and the
opportunity to leverage the assets of NTT Com, regularly named as
one of the world’s largest and most innovative ICT providers. NTT
Com global assets include 140 secure and interconnected data
centers, a private network in 196 countries, and 14 data centers
that double as cloud computing delivery centers. On the cusp of the
Global Solutions Channel Partner Program’s two-year anniversary,
guided by the “One Global Partner – Many Benefits” vision, NTT Com
can now point to specific ways in which the program has benefited
partners and end customers alike.
New Security Services Award: Second Half Spiff
Sweetening the deal for NTT Com’s channel partner community, NTT
Com is pleased to offer master and sub-agents a lucrative security
services award from now until the end of the year. For all the

Fluent Edgeworks Taps NTT Com for Win
One notable success has been NTT Com’s collaboration with Fluent
Edgeworks, a San Francisco based IT firm specializing in the
design, sourcing and program management of cloud infrastructure
solutions. Known for its advocacy of co-sourcing, Fluent began
working with NTT Com soon after the launch of its Global Solutions
Channel Partner Program. NTT Com and Fluent have collaborated on
multiple projects, including one involving a global consumer
technology company seeking to deploy a unified but scalable global
network with a centralized control point. Fluent’s skill set,
complemented by a powerful suite of ICT solutions offered by NTT
Com, proved to be an excellent match for this company’s needs.
“Fluent not only has tremendous engineering and operational talent,
they also have domain expertise in international business law,
which was especially relevant here,” said Jordan Whyard, Director,
Indirect Channel Sales, for NTT America, the wholly-owned U.S.
subsidiary of NTT Com.
The catalyst for this project was the global consumer technology
company’s interest in migrating to a unified communications as a
service (UCaaS) platform. Upon realizing that its collection of
internet circuits would not support that initiative, the company
turned to the co-sourcing specialist, Fluent, and the global assets
available through Fluent’s partnership with NTT Com. “We work with
a wide range of IT service providers,” said Andrew Whitaker,
Managing Director and Chief Solution Architect at Fluent. “The
reason we wanted to team up with NTT Com was not only its global
reach and infrastructure, but also for the company’s experience in
other areas, like cloud-based security and IT management, which are
key parts of deploying complex global projects.” In this case,
Fluent and NTT Com’s joint customer also required an
infrastructure-on-demand solution, which leveraged NTT Com’s
expertise in delivering enterprise cloud and consumption-based
services, and Fluent’s own cloud infrastructure specialty.
Global Solutions Channel Partner Team Hits Sales Goals,
Drives Growth
NTT Com’s collaboration with Fluent is representative of the
Global Solutions Channel Partner Program’s broader success. By
March 2016, the Global Solutions Channel Partner Program met and
exceeded the goal of onboarding 15 of the largest, most credible
and supportive master agents to its roster of channel partners, and
already had generated contracts with large, global enterprise
clients seeking innovative and cost-effective ICT solutions,
driving revenue for master agents across multiple verticals,
including utilities, government, electronics, manufacturing,
technology and healthcare, among others. Upon meeting its goals for
master agents, NTT Com then shifted its channel strategy to focus
on the sub-agent community, accelerating investments in the
development, training and education of its channel partners to
ensure their sub-agents were equipped to secure opportunities,
especially for global growth. Results since then have been likewise
impressive.
Since the beginning of NTT Com’s fiscal year in April 2016, the
Global Solutions Channel Partner team has worked with more than 100
new sub-agents, and is on target for sales goals, closing multiple,
mid-range $1 million total value contract deals, and recently
closing a multi-million-dollar opportunity. Furthermore, the number
of contracts that sub-agents have been able to secure through
working with NTT Com has been substantial, approximately 30 percent
more than were attained by this time last year. At Channel Partners
Evolution, NTT Com executives are available to discuss the Global
Solutions Channel Partner Program’s record, its value proposition
to master and sub-agents, and new revenue-generating opportunities.
