WARSAW--Poland will continue its nuclear power program despite
falling electricity prices and a slump in consumption amid an
economic slowdown, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Tuesday.
State-controlled PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (PGE.WA) has
been made the leader of the program to build Poland's first nuclear
power plant.
Nuclear power needs to be part of Poland's energy mix which will
also include shale gas and brown coal, Mr. Tusk told a press
conference.
