QCPC Quantex Capital Corporation (CE)

President and CEO L. Evan Baergen announced today that Quantex Capital Corporation's (PINK SHEETS:QCPC) new trading symbol will be QCPC and the stock will begin trading on May 5th to reflect the recently approved reverse stock split. The company previously traded under the symbol BEDD. As a result of the reverse stock split at a ratio of 5.5 to 1, shareholders will see their total number of shares reduced but the proportion of the total outstanding will remain the same. The reverse stock split is intended to make the company more attractive to investors said Baergen. "This was part of our restructuring strategy and the board felt it was a necessary move to make investing in Quantex more appealing. With our new business plans well underway, we are getting a very positive response from our shareholders," Baergen said. Quantex finished its first fundraising last month, raising US $656,000. The funds will go towards business development as well as the company's acquisition of Samlex America Inc. which was announced April 25th, 2005.
