Rival Technologies Inc. ("Rival") (OTCBB:RVTI) announced today several developments relating to its CWI Technology ("CWI"). Rival has completed installation of CWI on two locomotives. Design of CWI for locomotives is similar to the CWI installed on truck engines, with some variations to the control system software. A final emission test of locomotives with CWI is scheduled for February 2006. We have also completed in lab and on road testing of our truck version of CWI, showing NOx reduction due to water injection from 16% to 28% depending on truck speed and road profile. At the same conditions fuel consumption was reduced by up to 6%. Rival is now focused on commercializing CWI in 2006 through a combination of licensing and marketing agreements. Using an existing license agreement with AES Engineering of Milan, Italy, the technology is now being presented to potential customers throughout Europe. These efforts have demonstrated considerable interest by the transportation industry and commercial contracts are expected in the coming weeks. Rival is also searching for a marketing partner in the United States. CWI is a continuous water injection system allowing reductions in diesel emissions and reducing fuel consumption as it improves engine performance.
