PR Newswire (US)
FORT WORTH, Texas, April 3, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American
Airlines Cargo Division (AA Cargo) announced today that it has
increased the per piece weight limit on its Expedite-fs freight
product from 100 to 300 pounds on narrowbody aircraft. Expedite-fs
is AA Cargo's proven express freight product that provides priority
boarding, a 97 percent service reliability metric and a 100 percent
flown-as-booked guarantee. The new Expedite-fs service applies to
direct narrowbody flights as well as those narrowbody flight
routings connecting to or from an international flight. The service
also applies to shipments connecting to American's truck feeder
service. "This enhancement to our Expedite-fs product will provide
shippers and forwarders with more options for getting their
expedited freight across the United States" said Bob Dibble,
American's Manager - Cargo Products. "In addition, the heavy pieces
can connect to international flights, which allows us to utilize
our vast network of narrowbody flights feeding our gateway cities,"
he said. On widebody flights, heavyweight pieces will continue to
be accepted up to aircraft size and capacity limits. For additional
