AGM statement

Amco Corporation plc announces that at its Annual General Meeting to be held at 
11.00am today, its Executive Chairman, Peter Hems, will make the following 
statement:


"I am pleased to announce that the Group has made an encouraging start to the
year and is progressing in line with the Board's expectations.


"Structural steel activities continue to perform profitably at levels consistent
with previous years. The property development division has continued to progress
some exciting residential opportunities that should produce a sustainable future
profit stream. Specialist engineering activities continue to operate in a
difficult environment but remain profitable. The manufacturing companies have
healthy order books although it is likely to be the second half of the year
before the benefit is felt by the Group.


"I look forward to reporting on further progress at the time of the Group's
interim results, which will be announced on Tuesday 7 August 2007."
