OKO BANK LAUNCHES JPY 10 BILLION TIER I HYBRID CAPITAL LOAN


In June, 2004, OKO Bank will launch a JPY 10 billion (about EUR 74 million) Tier
I hybrid capital loan which will rank with the Bank's Tier I own funds. It is a
perpetual loan, but the Bank can exercise a call option for the first time in
2014.


The loan is made because the margins of loans issued by banks with high credit
ratings are on a favourable level at the moment. The loan will be used by OKO
Bank for financing its growth and increasing the efficiency of its equity
capital.


The loan is a private placement and it will not be publicly listed.
