                      Chairman's AGM Trading Statement
                                      

At today's AGM, Robert Ffoulkes-Jones, Chairman, Brammer plc, said:

"In March, when I reported to you on our 1999 performance, I referred to
current trading saying that our businesses in continental Europe had started
the year well whilst in the UK, from a lower base, we were benefiting from
the cost reduction programme carried out in the final quarter of 1999 and
some slight improvement in trading conditions.

Two months further into the year I can confirm that on the continent we
continue to perform well showing good growth on the same period last year.

In the UK, despite no significant improvement in trading conditions, profits
are ahead of the same period last year, although the stronger pound
continues to cause uncertainty.

We are confident that we are building a strong group based on a compelling
proposition - European market leadership in our sectors of high added value
distribution and electronic equipment management services."
