PLC further to Part VI of the Companies Act 1985 advising a notifiable interest
in the ordinary shares of 25p each in Chloride ("shares") of 16,033,552 (6.45%)
shares.  The notification states that the notifiable interest of Barclays PLC in
the shares arises because of shareholdings by the following legal entities:
Barclays Capital Securities Ltd (215,636 shares - 0.09%), Gerrard Ltd (17,134
shares - 0.01%), Barclays Life Assurance Co Ltd (251,059 shares - 0.1%) and
Barclays Global Investors Ltd (15,549,723 shares - 6.25%).
