the Williamsport Municipal Water Authority and Williamsport
Sanitary Authority (WMWA-WSA) to offer optional water and sewer
line protection plans to customers served by WMWA-WSA. The plans

the Greater Williamsport Area, will provide homeowners with
coverage that protects them from the costs associated with
emergency repairs to water and sewer lines connecting their homes
to the WMSA-WSA system.

In the Authorities’ service area, the water line, from curb stop
or property line to the home, and the sewer line, from the cleanout
or property line to the home, are the responsibility of the
homeowner. Unaware that repairs to this portion of piping are not
covered by the WMWA-WSA, homeowners can find themselves having to
deal with the expense and inconvenience of navigating emergency
repairs on their own. HomeServe’s coverage plans serve as a line of
defense, ensuring that in the event of a repair emergency, the
burden on homeowners to bear the expense and difficulty is
