                                 AGM statement

At the Annual General Meeting of London Town plc ("London Town", "the Company"),
to be held today at 12.00 p.m. in London, Mark Crowther, Chief Executive, will
make the following statement:

"I am pleased to report that trading across our portfolio of 222 pubs has been
in line with expectations. The Directors remain confident in the strength of the
Company's business model and strategy and its ability to deliver strong, long
term growth. We remain focused on growing the business via acquisitions,
improving revenue and margins in the existing portfolio, retaining and
recruiting high quality tenants and actively managing the portfolio. "
