August 2007
MAXjet's systemwide load factor in August was 76.4%, a year-over-year increase
of 23 percentage points, exhibiting strength during a traditionally slower
period for business class travel. The yield environment continues to remain
favourable. During May, June, and July, MAXjet's systemwide load factors were
76.9%, 83.1% and 75.5% respectively. Revenue passenger kilometers increased 102%
year-over-year on a 40% increase in capacity.
Increases in scheduled operations result in a planned 59% increase in unit
capacity (measured in available seat miles) in September versus August. This
results from the introduction of new Los Angeles service and Las Vegas
frequencies. MAXjet therefore expects its systemwide load factor in September
to be lower than in August. Forward bookings continue to be strong including
those on the Company's new fourth weekly frequency to Las Vegas which commenced
on 2 September.
