RE: Holding in  Poole Investments plc


The Board of Judges Capital plc ("Judges") is pleased to note that Inland plc
has today announced a recommended cash offer ("Offer") for Poole Investments plc
("Poole").  The Offer of 6p per share values the issued share capital of Poole
at #11.1 million and is conditional, inter alia, on 90% acceptances.

Judges holds 5.7 million shares in Poole (3.08%).  David Cicurel, Judges' Chief
Executive, is a Non-Executive Director of Poole.

The shareholding in Poole, acquired for #200,000 (equivalent to 3.5p per share),
is the last significant investment held by Judges under the Company's previous
investment strategy.  Should the Offer become unconditional, Judges would
realise a gain of #142,000 before taxation.  The cash proceeds of #342,000 would
be added to the cash balances available to develop the Company's scientific
instruments business.

Judges is supportive of the Offer which it has irrevocably undertaken to accept.
 David Cicurel Securities Limited, which holds 2.2% of Poole's issued share
capital, has also irrevocably undertaken to accept the Offer.
