The Board of Platinum Mining Corporation of India PLC ("PMCI") notes that, since
the first closing date of its offer for PMCI, SPI Partners Limited ("SPI") has
only received acceptances in respect of a further 4.52% of PMCI's issued share
capital. The Board believes that this represents a clear indication that the
majority of PMCI's independent shareholders regard SPI's offer as inadequate. In
light of this and the Board's previously expressed views concerning SPI's offer,
the Board continues to recommend shareholders to take no action in relation to
their PMCI shares.
