Further to the announcement made on 23 November 2006 on behalf of SPI Partners
Limited ("SPI") in relation to the cash offer made on behalf of SPI by Montrose
Partners LLP to acquire the entire issued share capital of Platinum Mining
Corporation of India PLC ("PMCI") not already owned by SPI (the "Offer"), SPI
wishes to clarify that in accordance with Rule 31.4 of the City Code on
Takeovers and Mergers, the Offer will remain open for acceptances until 1.00pm
(London time) on 8 December 2006.
