ANNOUNCEMENT

Shareholders are referred to the further cautionary announcement published on
10 May 2005 wherein it was advised that the Company carries out pumping
operations on behalf of Hartebeestfontein Gold Mining Limited, which is a
subsidiary of DRDGold Limited (DRD North West Operations). Recent press and
SENS announcements at the date of publication of the original cautionary and
since such date stated that these operations had been placed under provisional
liquidation. Shareholders were advised that the full impact of the
abovementioned action was being determined. It is now advised that the
directors of the Company have requested the JSE Securities Exchange South
Africa to suspend trade in Stilfontein shares as a result of the board of
directors applying for the provisional liquidation of Stilfontein. The matter
will come before the High Court of South Africa this afternoon. Further details
will be advised during the course of today.
