Severn Trent PLC (SVT.LN) said Monday John Egan is to retire as Chairman of on July 20 and Andrew J Duff has been appointed an independent non-executive director with immediate effect and will succeed Egan as Chairman.

MAIN FACTS:

-Duff has also been appointed to the Nominations Committee.

-Duff was appointed Chairman of RWE npower PLC earlier this year having previously been Chief Executive from 2002.
