PR Newswire (US)
CUPERTINO, Calif., April 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Trend Micro
Incorporated (TSE:4704TSE:Nasdaq:TSE:TMIC), a leader in network
antivirus and Internet content security software and services,
today announced plans for enhancements to its channel partner
programs, adding further to the value proposition already available
to channel partners. As a vendor entirely committed to channel
relationships, Trend Micro(TM) has always endeavoured to offer
value and benefit to partners around the world. Trend Micro is
committed to the success and profitability of its channel partners
and during 2007 will roll out different channel initiatives focused
on making it easier for channel partners and customers to do
business with Trend Micro. Beginning in North America, Trend Micro
is rolling out globally a new customer management tool for
partners, the Worry-Free Remote Manager. The Worry-Free Remote
Manager is a secure, hosted remote console. It has been designed to
enable partners to manage multiple Trend Micro customers who are
using Worry-Free Security Solutions (Client Server Security for SMB
or Client Server Messaging Security for SMB), from a single console
that can be accessed from anywhere, 24 hours a day. By using a
single hosted Web console to monitor, deploy commands and generate
reports for Worry-Free customers, channel partners can increase
their service profitability by significantly reducing the cost of
servicing customers. Partners can also take immediate advantage of
the Worry-Free Remote Manager without any additional datacenter
investment or administrative overhead. Importantly, the console has
been designed so that partners retain complete customer ownership
and complete control over product configurations. The Worry-Free
Remote Manager will initially be available in North America, from
May 2007. Another new feature is the new SMB Support Portal. This
is a new online resource that provides partners and customers quick
and easy access to technical expertise. The goal of the SMB Support
Portal is to automate and consolidate technical support needs using
a single web interface. The new SMB Support Portal can be used to
quickly access information and support for customers in a timely
and effective manner. As well as providing the latest
documentation, builds, patches, and service packs for customers,
channel partners can participate in a forum community to engage
with their peers to collectively leverage and increase technical
knowledge. The SMB Support Portal is initially available in English
Language in North America and EMEA, and in Japanese. In addition to
the partner program enhancements taking place, Trend Micro is also
pleased to announce that recently, Trend Micro Client Server
Security and Client Server Messaging Security solutions 3.6 for
small and medium-sized business are the first SMB security
solutions from a major vendor awarded Microsoft(TM) Vista
certification. This is another example of the commitment Trend
Micro has to delivering advanced services and solutions that enable
channel partners across the world to provide comprehensive security
to customers with a solid partner infrastructure to support them,
making it even easier to carry out their business. "Trend Micro is
a one hundred percent channel-committed company and continues to
