StatoilHydro Thursday said it had made a small oil discovery in
the Norwegian Sea.
MAIN FACTS:
-Discovery is between three and five million standard cubic
meters of recoverable oil.
-Wildcat well 6407/8-5 S, appraisal well 6407/8-5 A are located
20 km northeast of the Njord field and 10 km west of the Draugen
field in the Norwegian Sea.
-Licensees will evaluate the size of the discovery in more
detail before considering a development solution.
-StatoilHydro is operator
-Licensees are StatoilHydro (30%), GDF SUEZ E&P Norge (20%),
Norwegian Energy Company (17.5%), E.ON Ruhrgas Norge (17.5%),
Petoro (7.5%), Concedo (5%) and Endeavour Energy Norge (2.5%).
