The following table lists unplanned and planned production outages at U.S. refineries as reported by Dow Jones Newswires. The information is compiled from both official and unofficial refining sources and doesn't purport to be a comprehensive list.

Valero Energy (VLO) Sunday said that it is restarting a hydrocracking unit in the West Plant section of its Corpus Christi, Texas, refinery. The unit was shut on October 7 due to a small fire.

Alon (ALJ) said Friday that two emissions control units went off line on Thursday. The No. 1 CEM, or continuous emission monitoring, unit went off line after the No. 1 SCOT, or Shell Class Off-gas Treating, unit experienced a "shutdown due to flame failure from maintenance calibirating" the ration of air to various gases. Related emissions lasted five hours Thursday afternoon. During this maintenance work, feed was redirected to the sulfur recovery unit.

Flint Hills Resources said Friday that a pinhole-sized leak of fuel gas was discovered in the pipe systems leading to the FCCU at its Corpus Christi, Texas, refinery. The leak was promptly isolated and stopped by 4 p.m. the same day.

ConocoPhillips (COP) said Thursday that its 198,400-barrel-a-day refinery in Ponca City, Okla., is undergoing planned maintenance.

Flint Hills Resources said Thursday that it plans to shut Sat Gas Unit No. 1 at the west plant of its Corpus Christi, Texas, refinery for "needed maintenance activities."
