Ireland hired banks for the syndicated launch of a new 10-year, October 2034-dated government bond with a 3 billion-euro ($3.28 billion) deal size, one of the lead manager banks said Wednesday.

The transaction is expected to be launched in the near future, subject to market conditions, the same bank said.

The banks hired as joint lead managers are Barclays, BNP Paribas, Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland, Citi, Danske Bank and J.P. Morgan.
