As we look into 2024, the question remains… will mortgage interest rates drop? In a press release dated January18th,2024, Fannie Mae’s analysts noted mortgage rates are expected to dip below 6 percent in 2024, boosting home sales. The article further indicated that the housing market is expected to begin a gradual return to a more normal balance in 2024, following years of signicant oscillations in mortgage rates.
