Renaissance Radiology Selects Aspyra RIS/PACS to Manage Remote Imaging Services

Aspyra, Inc. (AMEX:APY) announced today that the Company
has contracted with Renaissance Radiology Medical Group, Inc., a
leading provider of outpatient diagnostic services throughout
southern California, to provide Aspyra’s integrated AccessRAD
RIS/PACS solution.
Headquartered in Pomona, California with twenty-four reading
radiologists throughout the state – Renaissance Radiology performs
approximately one million studies per year, providing a full array
of advanced medical imaging technologies, including Magnetic
Resonance Imaging (MRI), CT (Computed Tomography), Fluoroscopy,
Digital Mammography, 3D and 4D Obstetrical Ultrasound and Bone
Densitometry.
“Because we deal with a large volume of examinations from
multiple locations everyday, it was important to us that we
selected an integrated RIS/PACS vendor that was able to not only
deliver the images to the radiologists consistently and seamlessly,
but allow a level of customization that insured the right films
were reaching the right radiologists and that they could be viewed
according to the individual physician preferences,” stated Monika
Kief-Garcia, CEO for Renaissance Radiology Medical Group. She
continued, “The added ability to track and trend workflow from
sites and referring physicians and facilitate billing was a dream
come true to the office staff. Aspyra was able to demonstrate what
no other vendor could.”
“Renaissance Radiology’s business model represents a trend in
the imaging center industry,” stated Rodney Schutt, Aspyra’s CEO.
He continued, “No longer is a radiologist reading for a single
location. Instead they are required to read a higher volume of
images from various locations. In addition, many centers have lost
revenue because their legacy systems are unable to process the
foreign studies, or manage the turnaround and distribution of
clinical reports due to the increase in volume. Aspyra’s RIS/PACS
will give Renaissance Radiology the functionality and peace of mind
to advance their business forward.”
Aspyra’s PACS, Specialty PACS and RIS/PACS solutions are
designed to meet the needs of acute care hospitals, enterprise-wide
delivery networks, medium to large imaging centers, and orthopedic
group practices, with end-to-end solutions that automate processes
at every point of patient and imaging encounter workflow.
