BUFFALO, N.Y., July 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Highlights -- Ecology & Environment, Inc. was recently awarded a 5-year, $15 million Basic Ordering Agreement for Architect-Engineer Hazardous Toxic and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) Environmental Services within United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Region VI Boundaries. The fourth in a sequence of contracts since 2000, this contract enables E & E to continue to provide support to the EPA/Tulsa District on the Oil Pollution Act (OPA) Program, the Hazard Ranking System (HRS) Program, Mining Investigation, Response to natural disasters, and other similar projects requiring like disciplines as requested by the USEPA. Since 2000, these contracts have included Engineering Evaluation/Cost Analysis on creosote and refinery sites; HRS site assessments at numerous Superfund sites; hundreds of OPA site assessments in Louisiana; and reconnaissance, classification and disposition of hazardous materials scattered by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. On this contract, E & E anticipates continuation of the OPA assessments, the HRS work and mining assessments in New Mexico.
