Eaton Vance Municipal Income Trusts Declare Increases in Monthly Distributions

BOSTON, Jan. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Eaton Vance Management,
the Boston-based investment adviser, today announced the monthly
distributions declared on the common shares of eight of its
closed-end municipal bond funds ("Funds"). The announcement
reflects an increase in the monthly distribution for Eaton Vance
Municipal Income Trust (NYSE:EVN), Eaton Vance California Municipal
Income Trust (NYSE Amex: CEV) and Eaton Vance New York Municipal
Income Trust (NYSE Amex: EVY). The record date for the
distributions is February 10, 2010, and the payable date is
February 17, 2010. The ex-date is February 8, 2010. The
distribution per share, closing market price on January 28, 2010
(or last trade price), and annualized market yield for each Fund is
