BROADBAND WORLD FORUM -- Procera® Networks
Inc. (NYSE Amex: PKT), a developer of Evolved Deep Packet
Inspection (DPI) solutions providing traffic awareness, control and
protection for complex networks, and BroadHop Inc., the leader in
network intelligence for service providers, today announced they
have successfully completed interoperability testing (IOT) of their
best-of-breed flagship Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), Policy
Management and PCRF solutions: PacketLogic™ and Quantum Network
Suite. The integrated pure-play solutions will provide service
providers with unprecedented network intelligence to address the
scalability, performance, and service expectations of LTE
deployments.
The interoperability, which was completed to meet the demands of
Procera and BroadHop joint service provider customers, is based on
the latest 3GPP® release 9 policy enforcement standards for mobile
networks. The combined solution enables service providers to:
- Postpone expensive network upgrades by dynamically resolving
network congestion.
- Meet the multimedia application delivery requirements of 4G/LTE
networks.
- Understand and value traffic to create more differentiated and
compelling services.
- Strengthen business models through innovative service
creation.
- Offer dynamic and interactive personalized policies that give
subscribers a much greater ability to control and adapt their
communication experience.
"LTE networks are going to be subscriber and application
oriented," said Jon Lindén, vice president of marketing, Procera
Networks. "Procera's PacketLogic technology, which recognizes and
prioritizes real-time services, coupled with BroadHop's Quantum
Network Suite, will enable operators to do service innovation that
has immediate impact on top-line revenue and bottom-line
profitability."
"Today's IOT announcement is a direct result of increasing
demand from service providers for flexible, scalable, interoperable
solutions that maximize the value of their subscriber data," said
Jim O'Brien, vice president of business development, BroadHop Inc.
"We look forward to working with Procera to provide our global
customers with the kind of actionable network intelligence that
will enable them to realize greater subscriber loyalty and gain
10-fold efficiencies."
BroadHop and Procera are both renowned for cutting edge
technology and unmatched experience with mobile network
deployments. The unique real-time capabilities of PacketLogic and
Quantum Network Suite, and the dynamic adaptability of both
systems, enable previously unseen pre-paid solutions, dynamic
congestion control, and bill shock prevention.
Procera's PacketLogic line of products leverages state of the
art DPI technology to do network traffic and policy control.
PacketLogic drives the policy process for the next generation
mobile networks by enabling trend and behavioral analysis, traffic
classification, and real-time counters, and providing input to the
policy server, enforcing policies, output billing and charging
data, and verifying that intended results are achieved. This makes
PacketLogic the inline engine of the policy and charging control
(PCC) eco system.
The first end-to-end open policy management platform, Quantum
Network Suite, empowers service providers to take back control of
their network and customer relationships by providing a
network-aware mobile data services engine that detects and adjusts
for mobile core congestion in real-time, maximizing session
capacity and user quality of experience. Quantum Network Suite
delivers an outstanding customer experience by creating policies
that manage network resources, enable two-way communication between
service providers and subscribers, and allow individual subscribers
to personalize policies themselves.
