NEW YORK, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jones Apparel Group,
Inc. (NYSE:JNY) announced today that GLO jeans will be carried
exclusively at Kmart stores nationwide beginning in January 2010.
GLO jeans is a fresh, hip lifestyle jeanswear brand that attracts
junior consumers 13-19 and beyond. The collection will include
denim and non-denim bottoms, knit tops, woven tops and dresses. In
addition, the Company is also licensing handbags that will launch
at the same time, and will eventually license other categories. The
GLO core consumer exemplifies a personal style that is fashionable,
trendy and cool. This season's key denim trends include signature
embroidered back pockets and skinny jeans, as well as an extensive
"fit" story in elevated and progressive finishes and washes. The
trends for tops also follow the trend right styles for spring 2010,
with graphic, cold shoulder and zipper details that round out an
assortment of molded cup tanks with lace trim and corset details.
The tote and hobo style handbags will be available in eye-catching
metallic and animal prints. The new, compelling GLO jeans brand
will be offered at affordable retail price points. The line will
retail from $19.98 to $22.98 for basic denim, $26.99 to $29.99 for
fashion denim, $19.99 to $21.99 for spring cropped pants, $9.99 to
$16.99 for tops, $17.99 to $19.99 for shorts and $16.99 to $24.99
