WELLINGTON--Air New Zealand Ltd. (AIR.NZ) will boost capacity on
flights between Auckland and San Francisco from December 2014 to
March 2015, in what is historically the busy months on the
route.
The company said in statement Tuesday that it would increase
flights to 10 return services a week, including double daily
flights on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. This is an increase of
10% on the four-month period ending March 31, 2013.
"The addition of two new Boeing 777-300 aircraft to our fleet
mid this year fuels this growth...whilst also allowing us to again
operate 17 services a week to Los Angeles over the peak period,"
Cam Wallace, Air New Zealand's chief sales and commercial officer,
said.
Air New Zealand recently announced it would increase capacity on
routes to Tokyo by 30% from November 2014 to March 2015.
