BP PLC (BP) is restarting ultraformer No. 4 at its Texas City,
Texas refinery, the company said in an environmental filing
Tuesday.
BP's Carson, Calif., refinery said Monday that the flaring that
is expected to take place for six days starting Tuesday is related
to scheduled maintenance of its hydrotreater.
Valero Energy Corp. (VLO) shut the fluid catalytic cracker at
its Texas City, TX, refinery to repair a slide valve.
Total SA's (TOT, FP.FR) Port Arthur, Texas, refinery reported
Monday that a leaky exchanger is causing a cooling tower to exceed
emissions.
ConocoPhillips (COP) reported Monday that a purchased fuel gas
leak at its Sweeny, TX, could cause Unit 3 to shut down.
Chevron Corp.'s (CVX) Pascagoula, Mississippi, refinery released
molten sulfur, due to equipment failure while it prepared to
transfer product to a barge Sunday afternoon.
