Veolia Water Unit In JV To Supply Petrobras Treatment Plant

Veolia Environnement SA (VE), the French water, waste, and
energy services group, Tuesday said its Veolia Water division will
provide a water treatment and reuse station to Brazilian state-run
energy giant Petrobras (PBR) in a joint venture with Enfil, a
Brazilian water treatment engineering company.
MAIN FACTS:
- The amount of this contract for Veolia Water is worth about
EUR119 million.
- The water treatment and reuse station is for Petrobras's Abreu
e Lima refinery, in Ipojuca, Pernambuco State.
- Currently under construction, the new refinery will produce
primarily diesel fuel and will process heavy oil from Brazil and
Venezuela.
- It is the twelfth project awarded by Petrobras to Veolia
Water's subsidiary Veolia Water Solutions and Technologies
Brazil.
