CROSS Announces 'Fine Lines' Scholarship Competition

LINCOLN, R.I., March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- CROSS, the renowned maker
of writing instruments and accessories, announces that it will now
begin accepting submissions for the second CROSS "Fine Lines" Pen
and Ink Scholarship Competition for fine arts students in
accredited four-year college institutions in the United States.
Students can compete to win a $5,000 scholarship offered as a grand
prize, as well as more than twenty-five runner-up and honorable
mention awards. Students are invited to submit an original pen and
ink illustration to be reviewed by a jury comprised of
representatives from major arts museums in the country, as well as
CROSS executives. The submitted artwork may be displayed later this
year through CROSS stores, its website, and other marketing
channels to further salute the winners and to encourage pen and ink
illustration in America. Students can submit an original pen and
ink drawing on a subject of their choice, measuring no smaller than
5" x 5", and no larger than 24" x 24" for consideration. Entries
must be received no later than May 31, 2008, and can be mailed to:

Lincoln, Rhode Island 02865. The winners will be announced by July
1, 2008. Artwork submitted will not be returned, but may be picked
up at CROSS headquarters in Rhode Island on select dates in August
that will be announced through the company's website. According to
