JHFT John Hancock Financial Trends Fund - Closed End Fund (MM)

BOSTON, Nov. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Board of Directors of John Hancock Financial Trends Fund, Inc. (NASDAQ:JHFT) (the "Fund") approved a change in the Fund's name to "Financial Trends Fund, Inc." (NASDAQ:DHFT). In connection with the name change, the Fund's trading symbol is changed to "DHFT." These changes are effective beginning today on NASDAQ. As previously announced, Diamond Hill Capital Management, Inc. will assume the duties of investment adviser and administrator of the Fund on or about December 1, 2007.
