Visteon, Van Buren Township Form $1.5 Million Civic Fund to Support
Community Improvements VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich., April 20
/PRNewswire/ -- Visteon Corporation and Van Buren Charter Township
today announced they have joined forces to create the Van Buren
Civic Fund, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising
money for township projects and services. (Logo:

pledged to donate $1 million to the fund, and will initially
contribute $500,000. The balance will be used to match
dollar-for-dollar donations from area businesses and residents,
with a goal of raising $1.5 million by the end of 2004. "This
partnership lays the foundation for financing community projects
and programs that will benefit Van Buren Township businesses and
residents alike," said Stacy Fox, Visteon's senior vice president,
Corporate Transactions and Legal Affairs. "We encourage our
neighbors in Van Buren to support the fund, and are hopeful that
our participation in the fund will foster an atmosphere of active
corporate citizenship within the township's growing business
community." Visteon is in the final stages of construction for
Visteon Village, its new 870,000-square foot corporate office and
innovation center in Van Buren Township. The company plans to move
more than 3,000 employees into the facility during the second half
of 2004, as part of a consolidation of about 15 non-manufacturing
facilities. "We're absolutely thrilled that Visteon has partnered
with us to make Van Buren an even better place to live and work,"
said Cindy King, Van Buren Township supervisor. "The Civic Fund
will be a great tool for helping us achieve our community
objectives." Members of the Van Buren Civic Fund board of directors
are Cindy C. King, Van Buren Township supervisor; Norman E.
Johnson, director, government and community affairs, Visteon;
Father John Hagan, Trinity Episcopal Church; Scott Jones,
president, L & W Engineering Co.; Anne Porster, chief financial
officer, Grand River Printing & Imaging, Inc.; and township
