Nike's Ladies Nights to Drive Thousands of New Shoe Donations to
Girls Inc. Los Angeles For Every Person Who Trials a Pair of Nike
Shox for Her Shoes at the Club Run LA or Fitness Academy Events,
Nike Will Donate a Pair to the Local Non-Profit Office LOS ANGELES,
June 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- As part of Nike's Ladies Night
Campaign, which includes training runs and fitness classes tailored
to the needs and desires of women, the company announced they will
donate an expected 1,300 pairs of shoes -- a $40,000 product
donation -- to Girls Incorporated of Los Angeles. The charity is a
non-profit that inspires all girls to be strong, smart and bold.

Ladies Night programs are consistent with our message to girls in
Los Angeles," says Kim Kearns, Executive Director, Girls Inc. of
Los Angeles. "To not only benefit from the shoe donations, but to
partner with such empowering and healthy events allows Girls Inc.
to underline our commitment." Throughout the entire month of June,
Nike is hosting Ladies Night training runs and fitness classes in
and around Los Angeles. The runs and classes feature education,
gear, prizes and refreshments all geared towards women. Each run
consists of either 3 or 5-mile distances and are free to everyone.
The fitness classes are also free to the public and are held at
several fitness centers including Bodies in Motion, Lyon University
Center at USC, Swerve Studio and CSF 360 in Brentwood. At both
events, Nike offers shoe trials of its newest line for women, Nike
Shox for Her. For each pair tried, the company's community affairs
initiative, NikeGO, will donate a pair to Girls, Inc. Girls Inc.
has responded to the changing needs of girls and their community
through programs and advocacy that empower girls to reach their
full potential, understand value and assert their rights. Girls
Inc. of Los Angeles offers programs to more than 4,500 girls each
year at more than 100 sites. "Through the Ladies Night events,
