ETY Eaton Vance Tax Managed Diversified Equity Income Fund

At their annual meeting held today, shareholders of Eaton Vance Tax-Managed Diversified Equity Income Fund (the �Fund�) (NYSE:ETY), a closed-end investment company, voted to elect William H. Park, Ronald A. Pearlman and Heidi L. Steiger as Class II Trustees of the Fund, each for a three-year term. The Fund�s current Class I and III Trustees, who serve staggered terms, were not up for election and remain in office. The Fund is managed by Eaton Vance Management, a subsidiary of Eaton Vance Corp., which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol EV. Through its subsidiaries, Eaton Vance Corp. manages funds and separate accounts for individuals and institutional clients. Eaton Vance and its affiliates had approximately $155.8 billion in assets under management as of July 31, 2008.
