Celebrate Summer! Cedar Point Announces Activities for July 4th Weekend

July more than spending time with your family and friends watching
fireworks and enjoying a freshly cooked meal from the grill. But
that celebration usually involves a lot of planning, shopping,
stress and time that really nobody has. This year, Cedar Point
wants to do all the work for your 4th of July celebration. During
Cedar Point's All-American 4th of July Extravaganza, guests will be
treated to an amazing fireworks display, mouth-watering dining
options including grilled Johnsonville brats and an all-you-can-eat
backyard barbeque buffet, patriotic performances by the 338th
United States Army Reserve Band, special events commemorating the
45th anniversary of the Cedar Point and Lake Erie Railroad and much
more! And if you needed yet another reason to venture out to
America's Roller Coast(TM) for the holiday weekend, park officials
have announced a wide variety of special deals to help you save
money on your visit! Fireworks On Friday night, July 4, Cedar Point
will light up the sky with an amazing display of pyrotechnics set
to patriotic music in the park. The spectacular fireworks show will
take place at 10 p.m. (weather permitting). Shortly after the
fireworks will be Cedar Point's popular "Hot Summer Lights" show.
Cedar Point will be open until midnight on Friday, July 4. (In case
of inclement weather, the fireworks will take place on Saturday
night, July 5.) All-American Picnic Deal Hungry guests looking to
save money will love the All-American Picnic Deal, which includes a
one-day admission ticket on July 4th and an all-you-can-eat picnic
buffet all for only $44.95 plus tax! The picnic buffet will include
fried chicken, hot dogs, potato salad, baked beans, ice cream,
cookies and assorted Pepsi beverages. A Starlight meal deal is also
available for only $29.95 plus tax! That not only gives park-goers
dinner and a (fireworks) show, but also includes seven hours of fun
and excitement! Special pricing for the meal deal is also available
for Season Pass-holders. Johnsonville Big Taste Grill Back by
popular demand will be the Johnsonville Big Taste Grill. From
Thursday through Sunday, July 3-6, the world's largest touring
grill will be at Cedar Point cooking up Johnsonville bratwursts.
Special meal deals will be available, including a bratwurst, chips
and a Pepsi drink for only $4.69 plus tax! The Big Taste Grill will
be located near the Good Time Theatre - home of the new "Snoopy's
Big Bow Wow" ice show. There will also be a special ticket
available for admission to the park and the Johnsonville meal deal.

the weekend's festivities with special giveaways, money-saving

Point's own "prize patrol" will be out all weekend long handing out
the special prizes to park guests. 338th U.S. Army Reserve Band
Cedar Point will also honor the men and women of our military with

4, the 338th United States Army Reserve Band, a 90-piece marching
band, will make several special performances at the park. Portions
of the band will perform an hour-long show at 1 p.m. in the
Centennial Theatre, plus shorter shows on the main midway near the
Sky Ride at 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., culminating in a full-band
performance from 6-8 p.m. on the WildCat midway. Plus, members of
the military will be able to purchase two regular adult admission
tickets for the price of one ($42.95) all weekend long (July 3-6).
(A valid military I.D. must be shown to receive the discount at the
park. Tickets must be purchased at Cedar Point. There is a limit of
two buy-one-get-one tickets per military I.D. Additional tickets
may be purchased at the regular military discount.) Cedar Point
& Lake Erie Railroad In 1963 a new ride debuted at Cedar Point
that would forever change the landscape of the park. That summer,
park officials introduced the Cedar Point and Lake Erie Railroad.
Since that first summer, more than 107 million guests have taken
the 15-minute excursion to Frontiertown, Boneville and back to the
Main Station. To help celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Cedar
Point and Lake Erie Railroad, there will be special displays,
