BP (BP) restarted ultraformer No. 4 Tuesday at its Texas City, Texas, refinery after shutting down on March 19 for repairs; emissions are expected to last until March 27.

Valero Energy (VLO) will completely restart its Memphis, Tenn., refinery by the end of April following a $225 million project. The plant has been off-line since March 14.

Flint Hills Resources starts seven days of maintenance at a Corpus Christi, Texas, refinery flare gas recovery unit on March 21. The start and end timing of the work are estimates, the company warns.

A relatively small fire on March 19 at Chevron's (CVX) El Segundo, Calif., refinery shut the Isomax, or hydrocracker, unit, according to the El Segundo Fire Department.

Tesoro's (TSO) refinery in Anacortes, Washington, is expected to resume normal operations over the March 20-21 weekend after a boiler problems cut steam to key gasoline-making units on March 17.

Valero's St. Charles refinery in Norco, La., resumed normal operations following plantwide turnaround that began February 1, the Co. said on March 19.

Motiva plans to restart a crude unit at its Norco, La., refinery by the end of March; the unit was idled in late January due to a fire.
