Press Ganey Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:PGND) today announced the video
release of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Thomas H. Lee’s 2015 TEDMED
talk. A practicing physician as well as a health care leader and
author, Dr. Lee has committed his efforts to reducing patient
suffering through empathic care. The acclaimed TEDMED event
spotlights 50 of the world’s leading thought leaders, spanning many
industries, backgrounds and disciplines, to join together and focus
on what’s new and important in health and medicine in order to
catalyze change for living in a healthier world.
As part of the “Who Cares for Health Care?” session of
the event, Dr. Lee’s presentation specifically addresses the
importance of teamwork among care providers in the mission to
reduce patient suffering through coordinated and compassionate
care. He emphasizes that creating peace of mind for patients is
essential to providing an excellent care experience and cultivating
patient loyalty— both strategic imperatives for health care
organizations in a value-based care environment.

Dr. Lee has more than three decades of experience in health care

Compassionate Connected Patient Care That Creates a Competitive
Advantage, explaining the strategic imperative for provider
organizations to employ a more patient-centric approach in order to
capture and retain business. In addition to his role as CMO at
Press Ganey, Dr. Lee, continues to practice primary care at Brigham
and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Dr. Lee formerly served as Network
President for Partners Healthcare System and CEO for Partners
Community HealthCare, Inc., the integrated delivery system founded
by Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General
Hospital.
