Sherwin-Williams Co. said Thursday it believes dynamics in the
housing market will continue to bolster its business in the U.S.
and Canada this year.
For 2021, the paint company forecast $23.87 to $24.67 a share in
profit, or $26.40 to $27.20 on an adjusted basis. Sales are
expected to increase by the mid-to-high-single digits over
2020.
"We expect North American new residential and residential
repaint demand will remain strong. Our commercial end markets will
likely remain choppy, and our DIY business will face challenging
comparisons," Chief Executive John Morikis said.
Sherwin-Williams also sees improving industrial demand for the
year, he said.
