Brazil Vivo To Pay $60 Million In Dividends

Brazil's leading cellular operator, Vivo Participacoes (VIV),
will pay 104 million Brazilian reals ($60 million) in dividends in
the form of interest on its own capital, the company said late
Tuesday in a statement.
The total amount represents a payment of BRL0.22 per share.
The payment will be based on shareholders' positions as of Dec.
31. It didn't unveil the date for the payment.
Vivo is jointly controlled by Spain's Telefonica SA (TEF) and
Portugal Telecom SGPS SA (PT).
