Pacific Exchange Adds Issues to PCX Plus SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 6
/PRNewswire/ -- The Pacific Exchange (PCX) announced that it added
two issues to its new electronic options trading system, PCX Plus,
at the opening of the market this morning. The two issues, Applied
Micro Circuits Corp. (NASDAQ:AMCC)(PCX:AEX) and Americredit Corp.
(NYSE:ACF)(PCX:ACF), are traded by Lead Market Maker Julian Maneein
of Knight Financial Products, LLC. The Exchange launched PCX Plus
on October 6. "We are pleased with the performance of PCX Plus,"
said Jon Werts, Vice President, New Product and Business
Development. "The system is meeting our expectations and operating
standards. It is accepting, processing, and disseminating quotes
from multiple sources, and has already received several
enhancements that strengthen its reliability and functionality. We
plan to add more issues in a few weeks, and complete the conversion
of all issues to the new platform by the end of next year's first
quarter." PCX Plus is both a new technology platform and a new
market structure for the PCX, designed to better serve existing
market participants and attract additional liquidity to the
Exchange. It will create a unique marketplace, providing firms and
traders the ability to make markets from the floor or remote
locations. DATASOURCE: Pacific Exchange CONTACT: Dale A. Carlson of
