Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:GCC) is pleased to
announce that pursuant to a special resolution passed by the shareholders of the
Company on September 26, 2008, the Company has consolidated its common shares on
the basis of ten (10) old common shares for one (1) new common share.


Effective at market open on February 12, 2009, the common shares of the Company
will commence trading on the TSX Venture Exchange on a consolidated basis under
the same trading symbol.
