DigitalTown Announces Formation of Non-Profit
MINNEAPOLIS, MN--(Marketwired - Dec 11, 2013) -
DigitalTown, Inc. (OTCQB: DGTW) today announced it formed The
DigitalTown Foundation along with co-founding member the NIAAA (The
National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association). The
foundation will primary be used for the non-profit use of
DigitalTown's 22,000 plus community domain portfolio. DigitalTown
Inc. will be the primary for-profit use of the domains. This
format has been successfully used by the Firefox web browser under
the Mozilla Foundation and the Mozilla Corporation with major
internet and software companies.
On Monday, December 16, 2013 DigitalTown will announce the
platform partner of choice for its domain portfolio for use by
educational institutions and communities during the NIAAA National
Athletic Directors Conference and NIAAA Annual Meetings being held
in Anaheim, California.
The DigitalTown Foundation will operate under the websites
DigitalTown.org and Digitaltownfoundation.org
