Kinbasha
Gaming
International, Inc. Announces Introduction of Latest Title in
Sanyo's Highly Popular "Sea Story" Game Series
Kinbasha Plans to Install Approximately 300 "Super Sea Story In
Okinawa 3" Machines at its 21 Pachinko Parlors in
Japan
Kinbasha Gaming International,
Inc. (OTCQX: KNBA), owner and operator of retail pachinko
gaming centers in Japan, today announced that it will
introduce the latest title in the highly popular
"Sea
Story" pachinko game series, which launches in July, throughout its
gaming locations in Japan.
Titled "Super Sea Story
In
Okinawa 3," Kinbasha plans to install approximately 300 of the
latest Sea Story machines at its 21 parlors, which is expected to
increase daily wagers with Kinbasha's existing customers as well as
attract new players.
The Sea Story franchise is already a cornerstone of Kinbasha
operations, with 1,140 Sea Story machines operating at its
locations, or roughly 25% of the company's total pachinko machines,
excluding slots.
"We are extremely excited to introduce the latest Sea Story title
at Kinbasha," said
Masatoshi Takahama, Chief Executive Officer. "There
is really nothing comparable in the West to this form of gaming
phenomenon and its integrated entertainment
value.
It's also very difficult to fully express the mainstream importance
of the Sea Story pachinko series in Japanese pop
culture.
In essence, it combines a casino-style gaming machine with the
high-end graphics and sophistication you might see on a
PlayStation, in addition to the mainstream appeal of an exceedingly
popular gaming franchise like Angry Birds."
The "Sea
Story" series is the longest running and most popular title in the
Japanese pachinko industry. Developed by Fortune 500 electronics
giant, Sanyo, the first Sea Story pachinko machine was introduced
in 1999. Over the years, eighteen models and three million pachinko
machines have been sold in Japan generating over $10 billion in
hardware sales. The popularity of the Sea Story franchise has even
inspired a 12 episode
television anime series.
Sea Story machines have staying power and remain commercially
viable on the parlor floor for a year or more, compared with other
titles which can be popular for as little as two or three
months.
Many older players prefer the ease and simplicity of this game.
Other machines often require a great deal of practice, special tips
and an understanding of the machine's technical
complexity.
"Super Sea Story In Okinawa 3" has new features designed to create
a stunning audio visual impact. The machine's frame has a beautiful
"sea shell" shape with sophisticated neon lighting. Every hour, the
machines on the floor of the parlor display a five minute
synchronized show, with music and lighting effects to create
spectacular spatial entertainment for the patrons.
Game play has been improved with larger pathways for ball movement,
at 100mm vs. 70mm. With the improved high-resolution video display
customers will enjoy the anime appearance of Marin, the main
character of the game, in costumes that change with the seasons.
Urin, who is Marin's younger sister, appears for the first time in
the latest Sea Story title.
The video screen will also display the latest group of "Miss Marin
girls," young ladies from across Japan who have been selected as
representatives of the anime character.
