MERCERVILLE, N.J. – (ACCESSWIRE - October 22, 2013) - Laser Energetics, Inc.™ (Pink Sheets: LNGT- News) today announced that it has received an order and down payment for multiple Dazer Laser® GUARDIANs from a Hospital Group located in the Midwest portion of the United States. The specific hospital group will not be named at this time, as we respect they do not wish to field calls or publicly announce the use of any types of product(s) used within its facilities for security applications.

The significance of entering into the hospital and medical treatment facilities market is much larger than previously anticipated. The American Hospital Association indicated that there are approximately 5,800 Registered Hospitals in the United States, with roughly 4,900 Community Hospitals, 208 Federal Hospitals, 420 Non-Federal Psychiatric Hospitals and 112 Long-Term Care Hospitals as of 2012. This new marketplace, consisting of more than 11,400 US Hospitals and annual expenses of almost $775B, provides specific opportunities as many Hospital Organizations are prohibited from, and choosing not to, use of certain types of chemical agents and/or electrical stun gun capabilities. Additionally, in working with this hospital group through certain operational tactics, one of the main concerns brought up in reference to protecting hospital organizations, their staff and patients, are the regulations of how and when to go "hands-on" and the problems they run into with patients' rights. If hospital officials have the ability to engage an unruly subject, from outside the hospital room through the glass, all the while protected from being struck with objects found in the room with such unruly patients, hospital officials can more safely and effectively engage these patients and avoid unnecessary damage, cost and injury(s). This is one of the many advantages to use of the Dazer Laser® within hospitals, aside from the very obvious concept of not having to worry about cleaning chemical agents out of a clean hospital.

In addition to this order, the Company recently announced a $650,000 Foreign Military sale, in addition to its successful on-going US Marine Corps Ocular Interruption Program, for which it is still heavily involved with.
