Mr. Schouw brings many years of global business development to
the Company. He will be advising on the establishment of new retail
products, sales channels, and business development opportunities
for the Company’s subsidiaries. He also serves as an advisor
to a British-Danish NGO and a Danish company selling products to
one of the largest retail grocery chains in the United
States.
On a recent trip to Morocco, Mr. Schouw met with Moroccan nomads
that are part of a Co-op producing rosemary essential oils, and
also other Co-ops producing Argan oil, and rose oils. The Company
intends to formalize relationships with these Co-ops, one of which
is a USAID sponsored program.
Mr. Schouw stated, “I believe there is a unique opportunity for
the Company to use my relationships and resources in Morocco to
create meaningful initiatives that have high impact from a
corporate and social responsibility perspective” He also stated,
“We intend to use Fair Trade best practices to engage directly with
the Co-ops and bring their highly sought after products to the USA
as finished products, private label products, and as wholesale
components for other producers”
This addition to the team is in line with the Company’s strategy
of creating a portfolio of unique, niche, “affordable luxury”
products that can be distributed across multiple channels, online
and offline. The Company also recently completed an acquisition of
Peppermint Jim, LLC, a grower and producer of peppermint products.
Management looks forward to showcasing its new products and web
properties in the coming weeks.
